| Z-BLOC Norden manufactures and markets a recently patented Swedish invention for noise control on railways, highways and other high noise areas.
The patented material is comprised mainly of granulated used car tires that are glued together with special environmentally friendly glue. This makes the material "open," meaning that there are many cavities which give it the ability to absorb noise. The material is also very durable and is well suited for outdoor use and other stressful environments including certain forms of mechanical damage. This durability also means that it can be cleaned with high pressure water cleaning devices. Z-bloc Norden has a standard product called Z-Bloc Railroad which provides noise protection for rail traffic. The Z-Bloc panel is placed approximately one meter from the nearest rail. It is also low, only 73 centimeters over the rails upper edge, which means that it does not obstruct the view of residents who live nearby or train passengers. The Z-bloc panels are mounted without any special needs except when there is an uneven track bed. In most cases, there is no need for building permits when assembling the Z-Bloc panels. Z-Bloc Norden offers a highly advanced product for reducing unwanted noise from railroads, motorways and other high noise areas. But more than that, re-using the untold number of discarded car tires that litter the earth's surface gives Z-Bloc Norden and its customers a chance to help clean up the environment. |
